| Our House, a non-profit, peer-operated recovery home for sober, mature and/or disabled alcoholics desiring an independent and dignified lifestyle, is located at 1431 Ionia Street, in the heart of Jacksonville Florida’s historic Springfield district. Patterned with guidelines adopted from the AA way of life, the social structure of Our House offers residents a wholesome and serene manner of living. Our door opens daily and the coffee is on allowing both residents and visitors the opportunity to meet new friends within a quiet, safe and spiritually oriented environment. Presently, Our House hosts two Alcoholics Anonymous groups, which meet weekly on Monday and Thursday. We are currently in need of donations that will assist in meeting household expenses, which include but are not limited to food, utilities, maintenance and renovations. We gratefully accept offers from individual volunteers wishing to contribute expertise, time, labor and supplies in order that we meet our needs. We are a registered Non-Profit facility and all contributions are tax deductible. Thank you for considering Our House as a facility worthy of your charity and assistance. |
